The International Art Contest
The International Art Contest caters for the
categories of Realism, Modern Art, Mixed Media (Sculpture) and
Digital Art. Since its establishment in 1998, the contest has
been revered by artists world wide as the most prestigious art
contest of all because unlike juried competitions, The
International Art Contest is judged by the artists themselves,
past and present, thus eliminating politics and other bias from
the selection of winners. Consequently, most consider that being
awarded First Prize by one’s peers as the greatest achievement
of all.
Entries for the 2012 art contest closed on July 14th and are on
display from August 1st and December 31st. All mature
professional artists are welcome to vote in all categories.
Membership is open to all artists including past members and new
members who can validate their experience by providing a link to
a reputable web site displaying their art. Such members are
eligible to submit an entry in the next contest and have their
votes counted for the current contest. Unqualified/student
artists may join as associate members however their votes do not
influence selection of the winners.
At any time that a member revisits the voting section, they are
most welcome to vote again. Each member's votes are recorded and
their last vote displayed for that category.
Entry is now open for the 2013 art contest. Entries
close 14th July 2013.
The aim of the contest is to provide an introduction to active artists, create interaction between artists worldwide and offer a window to what is going on in the world of art today. An important condition of entry is that the artwork nominated must be from a mature, preferably professional artist and provide career reference. Unlike a juried competition, the artists decide the winners. Consequently, most consider that being awarded First Prize by one’s peers as the greatest achievement of all.
